Our licensed Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) provide individualized, one-on-one instruction for preschool-aged children who need extra support. Whether your child is at home, in daycare, or at a preschool program, our teachers come to them and work directly on the skills they need to thrive.
SEIT services are part of New York State's preschool special education program, and are fully funded at no cost to your family.
Getting ready for kindergarten. Our SEIT teachers focus on building the foundation your child needs to succeed when they enter school — attention, following directions, social skills, and emotional regulation.
What we help your child develop
Attention and focus — sustaining attention, following multi-step directions, staying on task
Motor skills — fine motor (writing, cutting, drawing) and gross motor (balance, coordination)
School readiness — classroom routines, peer interaction, early academic concepts
Speech and communication — expressive language, receptive language, articulation support
Licensed SEIT teachers. Every teacher in our program holds a NYS special education teaching license and is experienced in working with young children who have diverse learning needs.
